Locum Specialty Psychiatrist Doctor in Adult

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for Specialty Female Psychiatrist Doctor in Adult Inpatient to work within an private hospital in Stevenage.

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in London. You will be working in an Adult Inpatient for patients with mental illness. It’s a 14 bed female emergency acute inpatient service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Key responsibilities:

• Women, aged 18+
• May be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act
• Experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring a crisis admission
• Diagnoses may include:
  • Acute mental illness
  • Acute depressive illness
  • Psychosis
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bi-polar disorder
  • Personality Disorder
  • Dual Diagnosis
• May present with co-morbid presentations:
  • May be exhibiting dangerous and challenging behaviour
  • May have a dual diagnosis with substance abuse

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MBBS qualification
