Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to work within an NHS Hospital in Kent. 

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Kent. You will be working at a CAMHS Inpatient service for patients with mental illness.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits 
• Managing clinical caseload of young people 0-18 with mental health & Neurodevelopmental difficulties
• Prescribing and monitoring medication
• Participation in day time duty rota covering emergencies across the south/east of the county with crisis team
• Support for MDT in psychiatric formulation and risk management. 

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MRCPsych
• Valid driving license
• At least 6 months experience in CAMHS
• Ideally CCT in Child Psychiatry but will look at adult psychiatrists/paediatricians provided some CAMHS experience
