Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Registered Mental Health Nurse for an established private hospital based in Nottinghamshire. 

Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position.
Hospital provides acute and psychiatric intensive care services to those in need - Comprising of 2 Acute wards both with 9 beds and a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with 10 beds. We are dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patients’ recovery and re-engagement with the community. We provide services for local NHS patients and out of area patients from the NHS. Our wards offer assessment and treatment to females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders. 

Experience:
Minimum 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  • providing a high standard of person centred care to individuals suffering from mental illness and personality disorder.
  • Contribute to the planning, implementing and reviewing of patient care plans taking into account patient choice and wishes and acting as a named nurse.
  • Observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and progress - responding to any changes in presentation.
  • Attend regular clinical and non clinical meetings as requested
  • Prioritising nursing duties, delegating where required.
  • Working as nurse in charge to co-ordinate the shift, ensuring as far as reasonably practical a safe environment.
  • Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests, enquiries and suggestions.
  • Adhere to Medicines Management policies at all times
  • Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health, Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards are met.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
