Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Ward Manager CAMHS for an established private hospital based in Chelmsford.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position.
The hospital offers calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 60 service users, as well as day care and outpatient services, including separate facilities for young people.
An exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD to lead a specialist CAMHS inpatient ward.Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant clinical setting
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of clinical audit and/ or service improvement based on evidence desirable
- Experience of working in an environment that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Has experience in management and leadership of teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate clinical care on the ward
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures
- Support and develop junior staff through training, supervision, and appraisals
- Participate in the on-call manager rota
- Promote high standards of care, documentation, and patient safety
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and provide family-focused care
What We’re Looking For:
- NMC-registered RMN/RNLD with at least 3 years’ senior nurse experience
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience in CAMHS or inpatient mental health settings
- Ability to manage change and motivate teams
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and clinical governance
- Compassionate, resilient, and focused on recovery-based care
