Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Registered Manager for an established private hospital based in Somerset.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position.
We offer residential support for seven autistic males and females, and people who have a learning disability. Our home is located in a residential area, surrounded by the beautiful views of Somerset.
We provide person-centred support, promoting independence, daily living skills and access to the community, helping to improve our residents’ quality of life.Experience:
- Minimum 5 years working within a care or supported living role.
- 3 plus years of working in a management role within the care sector
- Experience of managing staff including driving staff engagement, and also dealing with and resolving complex staff issues including disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Experience of financial management including budgeting, cost control.
- Experience of marketing a service to potential customers
- Experience of working in a role within related discipline of the service (Desirable)
- Experience of turning round an underperforming service (Desirable)
Responsibilities:
- Commitment to delivering high quality care
- Previous managerial experience in a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory standards
- Fine tuned decision making skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude

Qualifications:
- L5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or be working towards)
- Good standard of written and verbal English
- Good standard of education
- For care homes with nursing, Registered Nurse qualification with NMC PIN
- Service specific qualification e.g. Autism, PBS (Desirable)
Job Specific Knowledge/ Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding the needs of people within the specific specialty of the service
- Understanding of person centre support plans
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control
- Basic level of IT understanding including Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
- Sound working knowledge of the service specialism (Desirable)
