Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Acute

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Acute to work within a private Hospital in London. 

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in London. You will be working at an Adult Acute Inpatient service for men patients with mental illness.
It is a 17 bed male mental health acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Men, aged 18+ years
• May be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act
• Experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring a crisis admission
• Diagnoses may include:
        o Acute mental illness
        o Acute depressive illness
        o Psychosis
        o Schizophrenia
        o Bi-polar disorder
        o Personality disorder
        o Dual diagnosis
• May present with co-morbid presentations:
       o Self-harm
       o Substance misuse issues
       o Complex needs

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MRCPsych
