Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult to work within a private Hospital in Weston Super Mare. 

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Weston Super Mare. You will be working at an Adult Inpatient service for patients with mental illness.
It is our 15 bed highly specialised service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs. We focus on developing emotional resilience, building self-esteem, self-reliance and self -care. Our aim is to improve well-being, coping skills, accountability and independence towards a positive discharge to a community placement. We understand the impact of trauma and the need to help maintain a safe, boundaried trauma informed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits  

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MRCPsych
