Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Paediatric

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Paediatric to work within an NHS Hospital in Bangor. 

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Bangor. You will be working at an CAMHS Paediatric Inpatient service for patients with mental illness.
The successful candidate will join CAMHS which currently comprises a team of 3.1 WTE Consultant Psychiatrists in addition to Psychologists, Nurses, Therapists and Support Workers.  Across North Wales there are 15 Consultant Psychiatrists who support the delivery of CAMHS across the region.

The post also involves teaching and supervision of specialty doctors and the wider multi-disciplinary team, which is shared amongst senior medical staff. Involvement in clinical governance, committee work, and management roles is expected. Study leave, and attendance at the regular departmental meetings will be part of your job plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits  

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MRCPsych
