???? Locations: All major UK cities (Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Northampton, Luton, London, Southampton)
???? Employment Type: Ad hoc / Freelance
???? Rate: £100–£120 per assessment (negotiable for non-RTA/PI cases)
???? Start Date: August (onboarding this month preferred)Staff Partners – Mental Health is actively recruiting Consultant Psychiatrists (on the Specialist Register) to join our expanding medico-legal workstream.
This is a flexible opportunity ideal for experienced consultants looking to work alongside a supportive administrative team while delivering expert medico-legal reports across a range of case types.
???? About the Role:
Main Workstream:
Personal Injury & Road Traffic Accidents (RTA)
Other case types: Medical Negligence, Immigration, Housing Disrepair, Criminal CasesAssessment Format:
RTA/PI assessments typically 45 minutes
Primarily in-person, with remote assessments available
Psychometrics, client booking, and report writing handled by our in-house medical secretaries✅ Compliance Requirements:
Medico-legal insurance with £5M professional indemnity (e.g., Howdens, Oxygen, Towergate, Balens)
ICO Certificate
Enhanced DBS (within the last 3 years)
Qualification Certificates
CV & References
A redacted sample report you've previously completed???? Rates & Terms:
£100–£120 per expert report for RTA/PI
Negotiable rates for other case types
