Based at School, an Ofsted-rated specialist SEMH setting in Shelf, West Yorkshire, you’ll help turn struggle into success through therapeutic, meaningful engagement.About School:
Housed in a beautifully refurbished historic mill, is an independent day school that’s transforming education for pupils with SEMH needs, autism, developmental trauma, and associated conditions. Many of the young people here have experienced multiple school placements—and now they’re thriving in an environment that finally gets them.Your Role:
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you’ll:- Deliver clinically informed, individualised interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, care staff and therapists to build supportive learning environments
- Provide training, consultation, and workshops to school and residential teams
- Work closely with children and young people to support emotional regulation, sensory integration, and daily life skills
Who We’re Looking For
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience with children/young people with complex SEN or SEMH needs
- Skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions and environmental support
- Confident communicator and team collaborator
- Organised, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes
