The Opportunity:
School is a beautifully designed, independent specialist day school that supports boys and girls with a primary diagnosis of autism—or those clearly on the autism pathway. Located in Chigwell, this setting provides a rich, nurturing environment within which young people finally feel seen, heard, and supported.Your Role as a Senior OT:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll work as part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team, supporting pupils through therapeutic interventions shaped by detailed assessment and holistic formulation.You will:
- Deliver direct interventions for pupils with complex sensory and emotional regulation needs
- Lead on best practices and model effective OT strategies to staff
- Provide training, mentoring and workshops to both education and residential teams
- Support in shaping an environment that meets the sensory and functional needs of every young person
- Take part in MDT meetings and contribute to long-term outcomes
- Travel locally as needed to support outreach across the group
What We’re Looking For:
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Substantial experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, including ASD and SEMH
- Skilled in supervision, team leadership, and modelling therapeutic practice
- An advocate for inclusion and neurodiversity
- Organised, confident, and proactive in driving clinically informed care
- A driver with flexibility to travel occasionally between services
