DBT Lead Therapist

Location: Roehampton, Greater London
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Workplace Type: Onsite (Face-to-face role, 3–4 days/week)

About the Role

  • Full-time position based at a private hospital in Roehampton

  • Specialising in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addictions, and eating disorders

  • Part of a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, and nurses

  • Focus on delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to adults with complex mental health needs

  • Opportunity to lead and further develop the DBT service within the hospital

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver a specialist DBT service with program fidelity

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions

  • Monitor client progress using outcome measures

  • Liaise with primary therapists and clinical staff to support continuous service improvement

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and clinical guidance to team members

  • Ensure effective care planning and implementation for all assigned clients

  • Contribute to audit, research, and service development initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • PGDip in DBT (British Isles DBT training) or at minimum, intensive DBT training

  • EMDR trained (essential)

  • Professional background as a CBT Therapist or Integrative Therapist

  • Experience in leadership or service development within a DBT framework

  • Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a recognised body (e.g., BABCP)

  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
