We're Hiring: Family (CAMHS) Therapist – Private Hospital in Chelmsford

Are you a compassionate, skilled therapist with a passion for supporting young people and their families? We have an exciting part-time opportunity (30 hours/week) for a Family (CAMHS) Therapist at a respected private hospital based in Chelmsford, Essex.

This hospital provides expert care to children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioural issues. You’ll work within a nurturing and experienced multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and specialist therapists, all working together to create personalised and effective treatment plans.

What You'll Do

  • Provide therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and their families through family-focused interventions.

  • Facilitate structured family therapy sessions to encourage communication, reduce conflict, and promote resilience.

  • Conduct assessments to identify family dynamics that may impact a young person’s mental health.

  • Collaborate closely with CAMHS colleagues to ensure holistic, wraparound care.

  • Guide families through complex emotional challenges with empathy, structure, and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone with:

  • Recognised qualifications in family therapy or systemic psychotherapy

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in either clinical or community mental health settings

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A strong understanding of family systems theory and developmental psychology

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable
