Location: Bristol
Salary: £41,200 - £53,560 per annum (pro rata)
Job Type: Permanent | Part-time (minimum 3 days/week) with option to extend to full-time

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Family Therapist to join a specialist mental health team at a private hospital in Bristol. This is a rare opportunity to work across both an inpatient Eating Disorder unit and a General Psychiatry Outpatient Service.

You will provide a systemic family therapy service, supporting patients and their families through compassionate, personalised, and evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist systemic assessments for inpatients and outpatients.

  • Deliver family therapy and psycho-educational interventions to individuals, families, and groups.

  • Collaborate with the wider clinical team to manage assessment, treatment, and discharge plans.

  • Facilitate outpatient sessions as part of the hospital’s Day Care Therapy Service.

Requirements

  • MSc in Family Therapies and UKCP registration (Systemic Psychotherapist route).

  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings.

  • Skilled in 1:1, family, and group therapy approaches.

  • Background in working with eating disorders is desirable.

  • Additional therapeutic training or supervisory qualification is an advantage.
