Occupational Therapist – Private Mental Health Hospital, Dewsbury
We are currently supporting a leading private hospital in Dewsbury in their search for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a 32-bedded locked rehabilitation service providing care for male patients with a range of complex mental health needs.
Position: Occupational Therapist
Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) – Negotiable
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role
Work as part of a skilled and compassionate multi-disciplinary team delivering personalised recovery-focused care
Manage and coordinate the delivery of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services
Respond promptly to referrals by conducting patient assessments and planning suitable interventions
Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to support rehabilitation and progress
Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care
Oversee and support the work of junior staff
Ensure compliance with professional standards and hospital policies
About You
BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
Registered with HCPC and full BAOT membership
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
At least 1 year working in a specialist mental health setting (addictions, neuro-rehab, eating disorders etc.)
Strong communication, planning and team collaboration skills
Resilience and empathy to support patients through their recovery journey
