About the Role
As an Adult Psychiatrist specializing in ADHD assessments for individuals aged 18+, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive developmental and clinical histories using structured methods/tools.
Observing patients during sessions and ensuring questions are asked in a thorough but compassionate manner.
Reviewing reports, developmental history, and collateral information from family or observers in the same session.
Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback in a clear and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to resources.
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) where further input is required, offering follow-up sessions as needed.
Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment (with admin support provided).
Requesting onward referrals when clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
Our Clinics
Up to four appointments per day, paid at a competitive per-assessment rate (outside IR35, self-employed).
Work options: remote, hybrid, or face-to-face depending on your location.
Flexible scheduling available Monday to Sunday, to fit around your lifestyle.
What We’re Looking For
GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
CCT in Adult Psychiatry preferred but not essential.
Expertise in ADHD assessments for adults.
Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal processes.
