Are you an experienced Autism Assessment Nurse looking for flexible locum work? Join our private mental health service in Derbyshire and support high-quality autism assessments for children, young people, and adults.

This is an ad hoc / sessional role with the potential for more sessions based on service demand, giving you flexibility while making a real impact.

???? Role Overview

As an Autism Assessment Nurse, you will:

???? Conduct full autism diagnostic assessments in line with NICE guidelines
???? Carry out clinical interviews, developmental histories, and assessments
✍️ Produce high-quality, timely reports
????️ Communicate outcomes sensitively with patients, families, carers, and professionals
???? Liaise with GPs, schools, local authorities, and other professionals
???? Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and accreditation processes

✅ Who We’re Looking For

• ???? Registered Nurse with current NMC registration

• ???? Proven experience completing autism assessments for children and adults

• ???? Strong knowledge of NICE guidance for autism diagnosis

• ???? Ability to work independently while maintaining high professional standards

Desirable: Experience in MDTs, service development, accreditation, or education and social care pathways related to autism.
