We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Gloucester. This role is based at a rehabilitation service for women, specialising in personality disorders. As an agency worker, you will have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit your schedule while providing vital care and support to individuals in need.
Please note:
- You must hold a valid PMVA or MAPA (BILD-accredited) certificate completed within the last 12 months
- You must have at least 6 months’ experience as a Mental Health Support Worker
- Due to the needs of the service, only female applicants will be considered at this time
- A car driver is preferable due to the rural setting
- Applications without the above requirements will not be considered
Your Role:
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Promote independence and enhance quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Follow care plans and ensure the highest standards of support
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in mental health is essential (minimum 6 months required)
- A caring, empathetic, and patient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights
- A valid PMVA/MAPA BILD-accredited breakaway training certificate (completed within the last 12 months)
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- A car driver is preferable due to the rural location
