Sector: Private HealthcareStaff Partners Mental Health is currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health to join a well-established inpatient service in the Devon area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to adults with enduring mental health conditions in a modern inpatient setting.
The Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:
• Act as the Responsible Clinician for adult inpatient services
• Lead clinical decision-making and manage complex cases
• Develop and oversee evidence-based treatment plans
• Participate in MDT meetings, care reviews, and service development initiatives
• Work closely with Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work teams
• Support clinical governance, audits, and continuous service improvement
• Participate in a second-tier on-call rota providing telephone advice and consultant cover when requiredRequirements
• MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
• Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status
• Ability to take full and independent responsibility for patient care
• Experience working within adult mental health inpatient or community services
• CCT/CESR in General Adult Psychiatry is desirable, although experienced candidates from other specialties will also be consideredBenefits
