Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to work within a cluster of Prisons based in West Sussex.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in West Sussex but can be done either 3 days per week or 1 day per week dependant on location and availability. You will be working in a cluster of Prisons based in Brighton, Worthing and Gatwick.
About You:
Registered professional with current registration (GMC)
Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
Up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD
Excellent communication skills with patients to understand their needs
Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice
Proactive problem solving skills
- GMC with a licence to practise
