- Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Dr in addiction Psychiatry to work within an NHS hospital Setting
Job Description:
Post is based within Wrexham, working Monday – Friday 9:00 – 5:00.
The postholder will medically oversee the patients in the inpatient detoxification unit. The work will consist of assessments and review of all patients admitted to Hafan Wen Treatment Unit from the six counties of North Wales, reviewing their care plans and planning discharge with relevant community staff, physical examinations, history taking, dictation of discharge summaries, prescribing within the agreed guidelines of the SMS operational policy document and multi-disciplinary working.
The post holder will provide day to day supervision of alcohol and drug detoxification regimes in partnership with the local community teams and ensure robust discharge planning and after care.
3 sessions will be community based within SMS community team in Wrexham, carry out patient reviews and providing appropriate investigations and interventions under the supervision of the consultant. The post holder will be expected to perform any administrative duties required to ma

Provide high quality treatment under the supervision of a Consultant
Weekly ward rounds and MDT meetings
Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
Audit medical services and ensure compliance with professional guidelines
Assess referrals and mental examinations of patients
Job Requirements:- GMC with a licence to practise
- Recent experience in Acute Psychiatry
- Section 12 approval (Desirable)
- MRCPsych (Desirable)
- MBSS qualification
