Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Inpatient for an established private hospital based in Roehampton.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position. As an Private CAMHS Consultant, you will be at the forefront of psychiatric care, offering both inpatient and outpatient treatment and clinical leadership in our private adolescent mental health unit and private outpatient CAMHS team. You will work closely with our dedicated Multidisciplinary Team to ensure safe and effective service delivery.Responsibilities:
- Serving as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician within the Multidisciplinary Team
- Taking overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans
- Assessment and management of cases collaborating with patients, carers and external stakeholders
- Chairing MDT/CPA Meetings and adhering to organizational admission and discharge policies
- Contributing to unit governance through expertise and leadership
- Assessment and management of outpatient cases collaborating with patients, carers, therapists and external stakeholders
- Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
- Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
- Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
- Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
- Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice
- Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC Status
- Experience and knowledge in CAMHS
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
