Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for Specialty Doctor in Older Persons Mental Health to work within an NHS service in in Hampshire.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Hampshire. You will be working in an Older Persons service for patients with mental illness. We require a Specialty Doctor to work across the CMHT and the MAS service. Full time 10 PAs Initial assessments and follow up of patient. Review of patients in the MAS service Risk assessment and timely documentation into records. Starting ASAP until substantive Specialty doctor in post.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MBBS qualification
