Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Registered Mental Health Nurse for an established private hospital based in Manchester.

Job Description:

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you’ll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, supporting service users through their recovery with person-centred care and clinical excellence.
The post holder will deliver high quality, safe nursing care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) Code.
The role includes leading the delivery of a comprehensive Patient/Service user nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person centred care in a collaborative way, of both their mental and physical healthcare needs, maintaining the patients/service users rights; supervising junior staff and students , working collaboratively with the MDT and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment and accurate records 

Responsibilities: 

  • Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences
  • Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress
  • Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles)
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes
  • Ensuring accessible, accurate communication with service users and families regarding care
  • Taking charge of the ward where appropriate, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Maintaining high standards in clinical documentation and communication within the team
  • Working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) 

Job Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN
  • Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a mental health setting
  • Confident communicator with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, innovative, and motivated by quality improvement
  • IT literate and adept at using electronic care systems
  • Knowledge of NMC standards and commitment to best practice
