Staff Counsellor – Contract Role (Hybrid / Face-to-Face) | London
Location: London
Contract: Until May 2026
Hours: 2–3 days per week (minimum one day on campus, ideally Monday)
Pay Rate: £30–£35 per hourAbout the Role
Staff Partners – Mental Health is looking for a fully trained and professionally accredited Staff Counsellor to join a contract-based hybrid role in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver short-term counselling (1–6 sessions) to staff, manage your own caseload, and contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives. The role is flexible, with a mix of face-to-face and remote working.
Key Responsibilities
Provide short-term counselling to staff, face-to-face and online
Conduct assessments and risk evaluations, agreeing action plans with clients
Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality
Work flexibly within a brief counselling model to meet service demands
Support staff wellbeing via workshops, reflective practice, and psycho-educational initiatives
Liaise with colleagues and external agencies when needed
Participate in supervision, professional development, and service audits
Requirements
Fully trained and professionally accredited counsellor (BACP, UKCP, HPC, or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
Experience in short-term counselling in workplace or institutional settings
Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Able to work hybrid, with at least one day on campus in London
Desirable: Experience facilitating groups or workshops and managing complex caseloads
