Staff Partners – Mental Health Division are recruiting a Registered Psychologist to join a private hospital in the Chelmsford area, specialising in adult and adolescent mental health care. This is a full-time or part-time role within a recovery-focused Eating Disorders Unit.
About the Role
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other psychologists, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will provide psychological assessments, evidence-based therapies, and psychoeducation for patients and families, supporting recovery and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapies, including CBT and DBT approaches
Facilitate psychoeducation for patients and families to enhance understanding of eating disorders
Collaborate with medical staff to integrate mental health and physical health care
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and service development initiatives
Requirements
Recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
Accredited with a professional body (e.g., BPS)
Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with eating disorder clients
Experience in CBT and DBT approaches desirable
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
