Family (CAMHS) Therapist

Permanent | Part-Time (30 Hours Per Week)
Private Hospital | Chelmsford Area
Salary: £32,000 – £42,400 per annum (pro rata)

Staff Partners – Mental Health Division are recruiting for a Family (CAMHS) Therapist to join a private hospital in the Chelmsford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and their families, delivering evidence-based family therapy within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

???? About the Service

The hospital provides residential, day care, and outpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The service is recovery-focused, offering a calm and therapeutic environment supported by a highly experienced team of consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists.

???? The Role as a Family (CAMHS) Therapist, you will:

  • Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families

  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships

  • Collaborate with the CAMHS multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Assess family dynamics and identify factors affecting the young person’s mental health and wellbeing

  • Offer guidance and support to families to promote coping strategies and resilience during inpatient treatment

  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of patient care plans

  • Contribute to the overall recovery-focused culture of the service

This role requires resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills to work effectively with complex family systems and adolescent mental health challenges.
