Salary: £43,897 per annumStaff Partners – Mental Health Division are recruiting for a full-time Occupational Therapist to join a private hospital in the Romford area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a recovery-focused environment, supporting adults with complex mental health and rehabilitation needs.
The hospital is set within attractive grounds of over nine acres, featuring a horticulture programme and access to tranquil countryside spaces, providing an ideal environment to promote wellbeing.
???? About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a compassionate multidisciplinary team, providing personalised care to support patients’ recovery. You will use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help individuals improve independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans addressing goals such as self-care, work, education, and leisure
Recommend and provide adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, teaching clients how to use tools effectively
Deliver therapy via individual and group sessions using therapeutic exercises, sensory integration, and coping skills training
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, liaise with caregivers, and document progress
Advocate for clients within healthcare and social support systems
✅ Requirements
BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
HCPC registration
Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally with exposure to specialist areas such as neuro-rehabilitation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective therapeutic relationships
Resilience and adaptability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment
Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for patients
