Registered Psychologist – Eating Disorders Unit (EDU)

Permanent | Full-Time / Part-Time | Chelmsford Area

Staff Partners – Mental Health Division are recruiting a Registered Psychologist to join a private hospital in the Chelmsford area, specialising in adult and adolescent mental health care. This is a full-time or part-time role within a recovery-focused Eating Disorders Unit.

About the Role

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other psychologists, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will provide psychological assessments, evidence-based therapies, and psychoeducation for patients and families, supporting recovery and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapies, including CBT and DBT approaches

  • Facilitate psychoeducation for patients and families to enhance understanding of eating disorders

  • Collaborate with medical staff to integrate mental health and physical health care

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and service development initiatives

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent

  • Accredited with a professional body (e.g., BPS)

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with eating disorder clients

  • Experience in CBT and DBT approaches desirable

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
