- Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Speciality Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to work within an established private hospital in Surrey.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in an established private hospital. The hospital is a 80 bed service comprising a 52 bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards and two x 14 bed general adult wards.
The hospital provides care and treatment for their patients with a range of complex Mental Health issues. The successful candidate is to predominantly work on the General Adult ward.
Key responsibilities:
Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
Active role in service and development activities
Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
Taking clinical responsibility for patients
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:Full GMC registrationRelevant experience as a ward doctor/specialist doctor role in psychiatryAbility to demonstrate sound clinical judgement and clinical decision-making.Good team working skillsEvidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with patients, professionals carers and write clear comprehensive medical notes.Successful offer of appointment will be subject to clearance of an enhanced DBS and reference check.
