- Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry to work within an established private hospital in Cheshire.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in an established private hospital. The hospital has 30 beds for women, with two distinct wards each offering specialist mental health services. This role will provide psychiatric care to patients on a 15 bed complex personality disorder service for women with a dual disagnosis of personality disorder and co-morbid disordered eating.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment – fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
Active role in service and development activities
Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
Taking clinical responsibility for patients
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:- Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status
- Experienced & knowledgeable in adult psychiatry & mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
- Committed to continued professional development
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
