Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Neuropsychiatry to work within an established private hospital in South Yorkshire.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in an established private hospital. The hospital is a 22 bed Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation facility for men affected by acquired brain injuries.
We are looking for a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to lead the service, however are happy to consider interest from Consultants in Learning Disabilities and Old Age Psychiatry with an interest in Neuropsychiatry.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment, fully supported by a first-class multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
Active role in service and development activities
Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
Taking clinical responsibility for patients
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
Assess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service users
Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatment
Participate in ward rounds & clinical audits
Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governance
Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers’ hearings & attend hearings
Participate in the on-call rota.
