Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we are recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to work within an established private hospital in Berkshire.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in an established private hospital.
You will be working in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
The Hospital Is a 60 Bedded Tier 4 CAMHS Hospital For Young People Aged 12 -18 Years With a Range Of Mental Health Disorders And Includes The Following Units:
• A General Adolescent Unit (GAU)
• Two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs)
• An Eating Disorder Unit (EDU)
The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that young people are offered a person-centred and evidence-based treatment programme. The post holder will be the clinical lead for a full multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will work on one of our two psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs).
Key responsibilities:
Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
Active role in service and development activities
Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
Taking clinical responsibility for patients
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:
GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry.
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych (Desirable)
- MBSS qualification
