- Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a CT1-3/Specialty Dr for an independant hospital in Manchester.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position based in an established private hospital. The hospital is a 34 bed locked rehabilitation service.
Working under the direction of the Lead Consultant, you will work as part of a highly-skilled MDT team providing medical support and advice for our service users. The Team comprises a leading Consultant Psychiatrist, Head of OT, Occupational Therapist, Behavioural Assistant and a full complement of Support Workers, Registered Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses.
Key responsibilities:- Attending daily MDT handover meetings each morning with the multidisciplinary teams, providing medical support and advice
- Preparing Mental Health Review Tribunal and Hospital Managers hearing reports under the supervision of the Consultant
- Working alongside the local GP surgery to ensure all service users have a full physical health screen upon admission - including examination, ECG, and blood
- Clerking in new Admissions
- Writing reports, documenting ward rounds and CPA meetings
- Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching
- Participate in the medical on-call rota, one in four
Job Requirements:- Full GMC Registration
- 1 - 3 Years of experience in Psychiatry
- Section 12 approved or willing to gain approval
- Participate in the medical on-call rota, 1 in 4
- Have excellent communication skills
