This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative service designed to support adults with enduring mental health conditions who no longer require hospital-level care. The 26-bed residential service provides a safe, therapeutic and homely environment with 24-hour skilled nursing and rehabilitative support.

???? About the Service

The service offers a recovery-focused model of care within a calm and therapeutic setting. It is designed to promote independence, dignity and long-term wellbeing for adults with complex and enduring mental health needs.

???? The Role

As Deputy Manager (Deputy Ward Manager), you will play a key leadership role within the service, supporting the Ward Manager and wider multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as Senior Nurse to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for residents, families and visitors

  • Applying relevant policies and statutory requirements within a governance framework

  • Communicating regulatory and clinical standards clearly to the wider team

  • Ensuring risk is appropriately assessed and managed across the service

  • Promoting and role modelling diversity, inclusion and best practice

  • Supporting staff development and maintaining high standards of clinical care

This is a rewarding but dynamic role requiring resilience, strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for mental health care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid NMC registration

  • Minimum 18 months – 2 years post-registration experience

  • Demonstrable clinical expertise within a mental health setting

  • Experience supporting or leading teams in a clinical environment

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management and statutory requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

???? Benefits

  • Free on-site parking

  • Birthday leave (additional annual leave day)

  • Enhanced maternity pay

  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Flexible benefits package (gym membership, IT technology schemes, healthcare cash plan)

  • Access to ongoing professional development opportunities

  • Sponsorship of professional qualifications

  • Leadership and management development pathways

  • Long service awards
